So in a strikingly bi-partisan atmosphere in passing the bailout bill and saving our economy, looks like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi single-handidly sunk it with this…well…highly partisan speech.
House Minority Leader John Boehner blamed it on the Speaker: “We put everything we had into getting the votes to get there today, but the Speaker had to give a partisan voice that poisoned our conference.”
RawPoli fave Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass) summed it up well though saying, “Because somebody hurt their feelings, they decided to hurt the country.”
