Drink up. We’re all going to need it.
So the economic bailout package was 86′d in Congress by a 228 to 205 vote and the Dow fell a record bazillion points.
While we’re no math majors, those numbers don’t add up very well for the U.S. American economy in the near future.
Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) said that “the Republicans killed this,” while President Bush, a Republican, said he was “very disappointed” in the outcome.
The only thing we can possibly conclude from this is if Gary Condit was under suspicious again for killing someone else two weeks ago, and then this happened, that Gary Condit would probably be God.
That’s really the only good news we can glean from this.
